SATUSEHAT is an individual health data integration platform across health facilities (fasyankes) for data standardization and interoperability, aiming towards the implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) in all health facilities by 2023, as regulated in the Minister of Health Regulation (PMK) Number 24 of 2022 concerning Medical Records.
The SATUSEHAT platform acts as a system connector and links the entire ecosystem of healthcare industry players, such as hospitals, community health centers (Puskesmas), start-ups, pharmacies, local health offices (Dinkes), health industries, laboratories, and others, by providing standardized specifications and mechanisms for business processes, data, technical aspects, and security.
The creation of the SATUSEHAT platform is the result of work and coordination between the Center for Data and Information Technology and the Digital Transformation Office (Pusdatin-DTO) and the Directorate General of Health Services (Ditjen Yankes).
With the SATUSEHAT platform, the exchange of health data is expected to be more efficient and effective. This data can be utilized by health facilities integrated with the SATUSEHAT platform to obtain patient health information references when patients transfer between facilities or for medical emergency purposes. This is expected to enhance more optimal health services, thereby encouraging the government in making health policies and health workers (nakes) in making clinical decisions based on data obtained in near real-time.
The public also no longer needs to carry physical medical records when moving between health facilities. Patient medical records will be digitally recorded on the SATUSEHAT platform, which is integrated with the public health application (SATUSEHAT App) and accessible via mobile phone with the user's consent.
The SATUSEHAT App is expected to become a new lifestyle for the public, usable for daily activities such as medication reminders, connectivity with wearable devices, child immunization certificates, and other health features.
