The Health Sandbox is an innovation acceleration program in the health sector initiated by the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) of the Republic of Indonesia. This program provides various schemes for testing, mentoring, and recommendations for innovators—including individuals, groups, government agencies, and private institutions—who possess Health Technology Innovations (ITK) at various maturity levels, ranging from ideas and prototypes to ready-to-implement solutions.
Through the Health Sandbox, every innovation is encouraged to develop in order to ensure the access, quality, and safety of healthcare services for the Indonesian public. Participants have the opportunity to receive direct guidance from experts, develop products and services, and ultimately attain an ITK Registration Mark and even Recommended Status from the Ministry of Health.
